About Sports Medal Displays

More about Sports Medal Displays

After taking up running as a way to help improve my fitness, I quickly developed a real passion for the sport. I was soon running marathons across Canada and eventually qualified for the prestigious Boston Marathon, which I've run for the last four consecutive years. My running resume also includes the Chicago and New York marathons - part of the "Majors" in the marathon world. The last few years I've also taken up coaching my own running group, which has given me great satisfaction in helping others reach their goals. In early 2012 I suffered a stroke and had to cancel my fifth Boston Marathon. Not being able to continue my training, I identified a need in the market and created Sports Medal Displays with the support of my friends and athletes. Through my marathon travels and attending many race expos, I noticed that there was no similar product with the same quality of materials, I decided to make a better product and also offer some unique Canadian designs. I am now back to running and hoping to get into Marathon form soon. That's me in 2008 at the 39k mark of the Victoria Marathon in beautiful British Columbia.

Yours truly,
Daniel Ethier,
Owner of Sports Medal Displays
